Description

Selection agent for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic transfected cells. An aminoglycoside similar to gentamycin, G418 is toxic to bacterial, yeast, higher plant and mammalian cells in addition to protozoans and helminths. Transformants survive in G418 supplemented media by expression of an aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme.

Recommended working concentration: 400 μg/ml.
